A couple weeks ago myself and friends went out for a camping trip. Dallas and I went and started our weekend on Thursday. We were so excited to be in nature and ready to connect with anything spirit needed each of us to know. My cousin would join us Friday and Misty and Ashley on Saturday evening. Our goal was to be away from technology. There was no phone services which helped a lot. This campsite is one right in my neck of the woods so it was convenient but also primitive. I am determined to live a life off grid and this trip only validated that I am capable of doing so. Being without my phone did not phase me at all. It was nice not looking at my phone constantly and having to reply to messages. Being raised here in the hollers of Southwest Virginia makes living a life off grid easier because we have lived a more primitive way most of of lives.

Day 1 Me and Dallas set up later in the day and got everything up in no time. We had a list of everything we needed so that we didn't have to leave but the next morning to get firewood and whatever else we had left out on the list. We built our fire for the night and cooked dinner on the propane stove (vegan sloppy joes yummy). After we gathered water and firewood to do dishes and keep the fire going we sat around the fire and just connected with nature and ourselves. It was so peaceful and the sky was clear,we sat in our chairs and stared at the night's sky and at one time Mars was over the tree line as we were in a meditative state we both seen her energy bouncing around and the aura of trees above them as we watched the top of the tree line illuminate. What a great ending to a first night.
Day 2 We ran some quick errands and gathered wood for the weekend. Doing daily tasks to keep the camp going throughout the day and took the time to explore around and make decorations for the camp from nature. Anyone who knows me knows I struggle with focusing. So to do crafts has always been a big ole no of mine lol. It showed me that it's not because I am not capable of art it is my mind. It was so calming and well needed. That night again me and Dallas sat around the fire connecting with nature and ourselves. Both of us have been doing alot of out of body work lately. This has becomes a study of mine because of my own experiences. At one time we were both out of our physical bodies but I could still here my surroundings which is a conscious obe. I heard the sound of sucking in like through a straw from Dallas and a gasp as well as him saying "I had to come back, I couldn't do it". I gave it a few seconds and brought myself back into my physical body. Dallas explained to me he felt a loss of control so he had to come back and I said "Yea I heard you". I demonstrated what I heard and he did not recall what I heard at all. We both were excited because what I had witnessed was not on this physical plane but what I was hearing was him coming in to his physical body. This is one for the books for sure. What was really awesome about this night as well is we felt the wood spirits and seen them. It was a whole slew of entities joined by hands shielding our whole area. Amanda joined us and also got to experience the elementals.
Day 3 Dallas had to leave for a family function and came back later. Amanda and I gather supplies around camp to make crafts.. Working on them for a couples and hanging them from our canopy with the one me and Dallas had done together. By this time our little campsite was obviously occupied by hippies. We cooked a good ole fashioned dinner on the stove and sat at the table and ate. Sitting around the table with food is bonding and such a nostalgic feeling for me. The girls made it right after dinner and we Ashley set up her teepee tent that we used for ceremony. We cleansed it and set up the caldron in the middle with burning herbs and incense. When darkness fell we all gathered in the tent and went into meditation. We had some awesome experiences individually and together. Again each person taking what they needed out of it. A spiritual retreat is what you make it. We spent the night talking around the fire and eating smores :-)
What was cool is we had p

icked the location of camping hoping no other campers would join us and no one did that did not need to be there. I say this because Friday a older man came by our camp looking for his phone he had lost while camping a couple days before we arrived. Me and Dallas had cruised through spotting out a spot and seen him and I remember saying that man is our people lol. Well he ended up being a wandering soul and talked to us for hours. Saturday night late he pulled in with his camper and said "I was hoping you guys were still here." He joined us around the fire and tending it for us and for our company and that folks is how spirit works for people. I loved it. The next morning I fixed breakfast and we all gathered around the table to eat including our new friend.
I left that trip rejuvenated in my soul and clear headed. I did not want to come back to be honest. I will be doing this more often for sure. Don't forget to get out and take time for you and get away from technology for awhile. It does the soul good.
