A vast majority of the world’s population are diagnosed with some type of sleep disorder that would typically fall under a paranormal type of experience. Sleep Paralysis and Night terrors are two of the most popular out of these disorders; this article is not to look at these as a medical condition but to speak from personal experience and dive deeper into what lies beneath these life changing experiences.

Have you ever woke up in the middle of the night and felt like you were being held down? You can’t move and no matter how hard you scream no one can hear you? This is sleep paralysis, this can also me compared to a deep meditation state feeling of being heavy. I compare it to that feeling because spiritually it is the same concept. When we fall asleep our physical bodies are sleeping however, our spiritual bodies are more aware. When you wake up and feel the sensations of being held down you are not really being held down but your spiritual boy is just conscious and so our reaction is the fight or flight. Sleep Paralysis is just the start of these experiences. Out of body experiences fall in with sleep paralysis because is part of the process our spiritual bodies leaving our vessel once the energy has settles in the body. While we look at these different experiences as separate, we should look at it as a whole. Not everyone has sleep paralysis that has obe’s and not everyone who has night terrors have sleep paralysis and vice versa.

My son has always had night terrors and I never did think of it as a experience,I thought of them as they were labeled a “Sleep disorder” until a couple years ago.My son was sleeping with me and woke up me up laughing,He was sitting up and I tried to talk to him but he did not know I existed at that point. As I sat and watched him a few seconds he starts to panic and cry out “no,no,no,no don’t “. He jumps off the bed and runs through the house in a panic as if something was chasing him and comes to a stop beside my bed.At this point I am yelling his name and he is still not responding but looks as me and smiles,Right as he smiled his eyes roll to the back of his head and he is then aware bit still in a fog. He lies down and sleeps the night away the next morning not remembering the incident. I will not lie this incident shook me to the core.It was then that my theory began on night terrors.I know without a doubt in my mind my son’s body was hijacked that night.

So many others have so many stories. The hat man, Astral traveling, seeing creatures, and hearing noises. It all goes back to our sleep.I have had many experiences and know without a doubt in my mind that this is one of multiple ways of exploring beyond the physical realm of what meets the eye.Think about it when we meditate we can access information from a higher plane,We are going within to explore and the knowledge is limitless if we are aware and educated.

For the record I do not believe that all of these experiences are disorders. We are spiritual beings in a human body our goal of living our lives over and over is to learn life lessons and spiritually mature.
